How to be an organic prepper

#1: Avoid GMOs in food storage.
Avoiding genetically modified foods in the prepper's pantry is
the first goal in organic prepping. If you look specifically for
long-term food storage with the NON-GMO, you will find food
manufacturer's such as
Legacy Foods.

Foods that are not genetically modified is a good start but it
doesn't necessarily mean that it's organic. Fruits and vegetables
with harsh pesticides. Buying organic food storage is important
too.

  • Non-GMO food that's shelf stable:
  • Safflower Mayonnaise.
  • Organic coconut oil, pictured right

#2: Look for organic food storage.
The organic emergency food you stock can include your favorite
shelf stable foods like, rice and beans,
organic peanut butter as
well as
sunflower seed butters.

Stock up on long-term organic food storage at your grocery
store, but also let your fingers do the research. Looking for
organic emergency food storage online and buying in bulk is the
best way to find organic emergency food.

Organic shelf stable food:
Look specifically for organic food storage online, but you may be
able to find these quality brands at your local grocery stores:

  • Organic Florida Crystals Sugar. The source for the only
organic sugar made in the U.S.A. is Florida Crystals sugar,
which is made from the only 100% certified organic
sugarcane grown and harvested in the United States. Rest
assured you have quality in your pantry with Florida
Crystals certified organic sugarcane, which is grown in
accordance with the USDA's National Organic Program.

Backpacker's pantry:

  • Backpacker's Pantry organic blueberry walnut oats quinoa ,
pictured right, is certified USDA organic. Quick and easy to
prepare, you get a heap of healthy ingredients and
proteins, in a tasty all-vegetarian breakfast. See the other

    the page.

  • Survive2thrive Organic 40-day Emergency food bucket:

certified organic, and NON-GMO Grab & Go Food Storage on
the market. Feel secure knowing you have a supply of
organic vegetarian food in case of emergencies.

#3: Grow your own organic foods.
When you grow your own you take control pf your food. As a
prepper you can start with the commitment to buy only organic
and heirloom seeds.

  • Organic seeds. Look for organic seeds for your garden
locally and know that online you can find incredible
    products.

Heirloom seeds.

  • Survival Garden Heirloom Seed pack. You get 15,000 Non

Pack in the Survival Garden Heirloom Seed Pack. One
Survival Garden Pack contains enough vegetable seeds to

and survive. Ideal for this year’s garden or as part of your

region. These 20 fruits and vegetables provide an excellent
source of nutrients you need for a well-balanced diet. Each
seed variety is individually sealed to remove air and
moisture and will store for five years and even longer at
temperatures below 75 F. From seed to sprout to harvest

own food.

  • Canning: The organic food you grow or organic produce you
    get

  • Dry canning:

#5: Organic Cleaning products.
Meyer is the closest thing you can come to organic if you're
looking for organic cleaning products. The ingredients are
natural, such as essential oils, though they may not be organic.
Another environmentally responsible cleaning product is Seventh
Generation. Try also BabyGanics.

#6: Organic first aid.
Organic first aid exists! It may seem strange, since you don't
ingest first aid products to get organic first aid.

Organic hand sanitizers are easy when you make them yourself
with organic essential oils.

#7: Organic Gardening.
Seed Saving for the Organic Gardener by Martin Anderson is a
free guide if you have Kindle Unlimited.

difference between hybrid and open-pollinated seeds, the
difference between organic and heirloom seeds; and the
special handling of plants you plan on harvesting heirloom
seeds. Get details on artichokes, asparagus, broccoli,
carrots, flowers, corn, strawberries, cucumbers, melons and
    more.
